Revealed: Giuliana and Bill Rancic ask the kind-hearted surrogate who gave birth to their son to have baby No 2

Giuliana and Bill Rancic have long said they want a sibling for their baby son Edward Duke and now it looks like theyre getting their wish by using the same surrogate who carried their firstborn.

The E! entertainment star and her entrepreneur husband faced an arduous journey to have their little boy, who was eventually born in August 2012 via surrogate.

They will be seen asking Delphine, a French national, if she will carry another child as their doctor tells them they should implant two of their remaining embryos for the best possible hope of having a child.

And Bill, 42, shakes his head in mock fear as the doctor says this could result in twins.

Ever-pragmatic Bill tells a friend: 'If we're going to have another kid, we should do it sooner rather than later' and while at their fertility doctor, he asks: 'What is going to give us the best chance of success?'

The doctor replies that two of the couple's remaining embryos, still frozen from their last attempt at IVF, should be implanted into the surrogate, telling the couple: 'Two would be the best chance yet....two could lead to twins.

Delphine had never heard of the Rancics. 'She doesnt watch a lot of TV,' Giuliana said last year 'When we met, she had no idea who she was meeting.'

It was Delphine's first time as a surrogate mother. French-born, she had come to the US in her early twenties to work as an au pair before meeting and marrying an American. The couple then moved to Colorado and had two kids of their own. She now works in the corporate world, according to Bill.

Following Duke's birth, Bill said: 'She never had any trouble getting pregnant and she just wanted to help, to make a difference for parents who couldnt do this on their own.'

Delphine eventually gave birth at a Denver, Colorado hospital on August 29, 2012, with the Rancics by her side.

The couple named the tot after Bill's father, who was called Edward, and Giuliana's dad, Eduardo.

'Thank you so much to everyone who supported us along the way. We are so in love with the little guy already!'
